Frankie Connor: personal appearance this week

Do any of you remember a book published in 1986 called "Liverpool: It All Came Tumbling Down"? Well it was written and photographed by our Patron, Radio Merseyside DJ, Frankie Connor and his brother Freddy O’Connor. This Saturday, 11th May at midday in the Performance Space of Radio Merseyside on Hanover Street, Frankie and Freddy will be unveiling a brand new, updated version of their book. For those who read the original book you will know it is a social history of Liverpool in text and photographs. The new bigger and better "Liverpool: It All Came Tumbling Down" now has 500 photographs, mainly taken by Freddy himself, with accompanying text telling the story of the demise of many of Liverpool’s old and historic buildings. This is a great opportunity to buy a signed book, chat with the authors and see how Liverpool has changed. The book would make a great present for family and friends who remember Liverpool as it was in the late sixties and seventies. I’m hoping to wrangle a free copy as a raffle prize for our Summer Fete where you can again meet Frankie Connor. Please share this info on your facebook pages and tell your family and friends to be there, so we can support Frankie as he supports us :)
